About

Hi, I’m Sean. I like to make bikes.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my partner Rowan and our dog Benny. I enjoy mountain biking, running, hiking, and cooking. My favorite food is chili.

I fabricated my first frame in 2014 under the instruction of my good friend Carl Wakefield. After that one frame I was hooked. I knew this craft was something I wanted to do long term. I was in college at the time and did not have access to my own work space, so I put that goal on hold.

After graduation, I got a job in a machine shop where the owner was nice enough to let me occupy an unused corner of his shop. I designed and build my own tools and fixtures and got to work. I built about 35 frames in that shop between 2018 and 2021.

In mid 2021, my partner and I bought a house with a detached garage. I spent the next 8-10 months turning that building into a fully functional shop complete with climate control, compressed air, internet, and 100A of electricity. In the spring of 2022, I moved my machinery and workbenches into the shop and started making frames there.
